Hydrangea 'Phantom'
Phantom Hydrangea has very strong and sturdy blooms. This paniculata type hydrangea blooms will not lay down to the ground! From the breeder of Paniculata Limelight, this hydrangea will amaze you. Huge creamy white panicule blooms begin in July and bloom prolifically through September. But the Phantom is not finished yet. In August, blooms begin to tinge deep pink and green making it a must have in your landscape both for summer and fall!
Prune off finished flowers in November.
Because Paniculata Hydrangeas bloom on new growth they typically flower normally even if the twigs have been killed back by frost. Plant in a sunny, well-drained spot; some early afternoon shade is beneficial in hot southern regions. Prune in late winter or early spring.
